Fallen Leaves

An old car sits parked beneath a shadowed archway, its hood and windshield buried under a season's worth of fallen leaves, graffiti-marked walls closing in on either side. Warm light spills through the passage beyond, the one bright note in an otherwise forgotten courtyard. It's urban decay softened, just slightly, by the leaves doing what leaves do everywhere — settling in and staying.
