Privacy Policy

Last updated August 2026

Zen In Art is operated by Pragmatic Way Inc. This page describes, plainly, what information this site actually collects today — not a generic template. As the site grows, this policy will be updated to match.

What we collect

This site does not have user accounts, but a few forms do collect personal information:

  • Checkout.Purchases go through Stripe’s hosted checkout page, which collects your name, email, shipping address, and payment details directly — this site never sees or stores your card information. Once an order completes, we store your name, email, shipping address, and phone number (received from Stripe) along with the order itself, plus whether you opted in to marketing emails at checkout.
  • Licensing and exhibition requests. The intake form on artwork pages collects your name, email address, and a description of your intended use, so we can respond to your request.
  • Newsletter sign-up. The sign-up form in the site footer collects only your email address, stored in our own database. Nothing is sent until you confirm via a link in a confirmation email, and every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.

Our hosting provider may also automatically log standard technical details (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance, as is normal for any website. We also use Vercel Analytics and the Pinterest tag — see Cookies and analytics below for details.

Links to other sites

Every “View prints” button on an artwork page takes you to a third-party print marketplace — RedBubble, Zazzle, or Fine Art America. Each of those sites has its own privacy policy and handles any order or payment information you give them directly; we don’t receive or store that information.

Cookies and analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to see which pages get visited. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t track you across other sites.

We also use the Pinterest tag, a small script from Pinterest that lets us see how visitors who arrive from Pinterest interact with this site, so we can understand which Pins are driving interest in our work. It sets a cookie and shares browsing information — such as pages viewed — with Pinterest. Pinterest’s use of this data is governed by their own privacy policy. We don’t run any other analytics or advertising trackers today. If that changes, we’ll update this policy to describe exactly what’s collected.

Email communications

If you sign up for our newsletter (in the site footer) or opt in at checkout, we’ll send occasional emails about new artwork, original stories, sales, and events. Newsletter sign-ups go through a confirmation step — nothing is sent until you click the link in the confirmation email — and every email includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. We only send commercial messages to people who’ve explicitly opted in, honor unsubscribe requests promptly, and always identify ourselves clearly, in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page whenever what the site actually does changes — for instance, if analytics or direct checkout go live.
