A cyclist cuts through a fog-choked park path at night, headlight throwing one clean beam through the mist and the last of the autumn leaves overhead. Everything past that beam dissolves into shadow and tree trunks. It's commuting turned into something closer to searchlight photography — one small, deliberate cut of light through a whole park that's otherwise given itself over to the dark.
