Enigmatic Passage

A dark, mist-thick forest opens onto a single warm point of glowing light, its reflection pooling in still water on the ground like an invitation rather than a warning. Bare trees crowd close on every side, leaving that one glow as the only thing worth walking toward. It's the kind of path fairy tales warn you about and dare you to take anyway.
