The Desert Spirit
by Igor Zenin
A translucent figure in flowing fabric drifts across sand dunes, her shape barely more solid than the wind itself against a desert sunset burning fiery orange. Nothing about her feels entirely present — more mirage than traveler, more suggestion than person. The Desert Spirit earns its name in exactly how easily she could simply not be there at all.
