Caravan

A line of camels crosses the dunes in silhouette, sun dropping low enough to set the whole desert on fire without adding a single degree of shade. It's the kind of image that needs no embellishment — just heat, distance, and a caravan that's clearly done this crossing more times than anyone's bothered to count. The desert doesn't do subtlety at sunset, and this photograph doesn't ask it to.
