Autumn Carriage
by Igor Zenin
A horse-drawn carriage cuts through a park gone soft with fog, tall October trees standing over a path already carpeted in everything they've dropped. It reads like a photograph that wandered in from a hundred years earlier and just kept going. Some mornings don't need anyone in a hurry — just mist thick enough to swallow the edges and a horse that knows the way regardless.
