Flooded Willows

Golden willow trees lean low over water gone still enough to double their color in perfect reflection, ducks paddling quietly through the mirror they've made. A bare tree hangs its last seed pods into the frame from above, autumn's final gesture before winter takes over. It's a flood that somehow made the landscape more beautiful, not less.
