Dusk In The Woods
by Igor Zenin
Moss-covered bark twists into something unmistakably like a face, gnarled branches reaching out from a trunk that looks less grown than summoned. Snow dusts the woods behind it, quiet enough that the tree's expression becomes the loudest thing in the frame. Old folklore across half of Europe has a name for whatever's watching from inside a trunk like this — this one just happened to get photographed.
