The Guardians

A woman's face and a wolf-like shape emerge together from the gnarled bark of an ancient tree, a misty birch forest closing in behind them. It's hard to say where tree ends and guardian begins — the two are carved from the same wood, quite literally. The Guardians earns its title by making the forest itself feel watchful.
