A face emerges from what looks like crumbling stone or rusted rock, lit gold and warm despite the ruin it's made of. It's calm in a way that doesn't match the decay everywhere around it — a dream sitting perfectly still in the middle of a fallout it seems entirely unbothered by. Some faces get carved. This one looks like it was left behind.
