Country Silhouettes

A horse grazes along a lakeshore gone gold with sunset, willow branches hanging low enough to nearly touch the water, the whole sky doubled perfectly in the stillness below it. Nothing about this evening is rushing to end. It's the kind of silhouette that only shows up when the water agrees to stay exactly this calm for exactly this long.
