River Delta

Bare willow branches hang like a curtain of silhouettes across a burning orange sky, the sun caught low between the strands. Below, a wide river channel splits and glows gold down its center, two swans gliding through the still water near the near bank. A dead branch reaches into the frame from the lower right, its red-tinged twigs catching the last of the light. River Delta lets the willow do the framing so the water underneath can do all the burning.
