Sun Worship

A lone figure stands ankle-deep in the surf, arms thrown open toward a sun that seems to be exploding rather than simply setting, streaks of orange and gold splitting the sky like a wound of light. Birds wheel overhead in loose formation, small against the scale of the display, while dark rocks anchor the shoreline on either side. Waves foam white around the figure's feet, the only motion in an otherwise frozen moment of reverence. Sun Worship stages a sunset as something worth stopping the whole body for.
