Stepping Down

A woman in a flowing red gown and a wreath of flowers descends a spiral staircase that opens directly onto space, the curve of the Earth filling the view beneath her feet. The staircase repeats upside-down under the landing, spiraling into a waterfall that pours onto a second, closer Earth where city lights trace a coastline suggestive of the Black Sea. A small figure falls through that waterfall partway down. The two staircases, one right-side up and one inverted, meet at a single point below her, like a step built for leaving one world and entering another.
