Poppies Blue

Red poppies lean into a sky gone deep indigo, one pale moon standing in for every quiet moment this flower has come to hold — Anzac Day and a century of remembrance chief among them. Strip the symbolism away for a second, though, and it's still just a striking, dramatic field of red against blue, built to anchor a wall on its own. Some images carry weight and beauty at the same time, without asking you to pick one.
