Forgotten Guest

by Igor Zenin · 2011

An elderly woman hauls everything she owns across Red Square on a rattling little cart, St. Basil's and the Kremlin blurred into motion right behind her like they're the ones in a hurry. She's the only visitor this square doesn't have a welcome for — easy to blur past, easy to leave out of the postcard. It's sharp, it's real, and it's built to make a wall stop and actually look rather than just decorate it.
