Crystallized

A woman's face sits at the center of a halo built entirely from faceted, crystalline shards of gold and ice, radiating out in every direction like she's mid-transformation into something less human and more prism. It's a portrait where the subject is almost beside the point next to the light exploding around her. Crystallized is the right word — nothing here looks like it's holding still.
