A turkey struts along a weathered fence line in a bare winter yard, its red wattle the only real color against a muted, wintered-down farm. It's about as unglamorous a portrait as country life gets — dirt, bare trees, one bird going about its business like nobody's watching. Rural charm doesn't always need a sunset to earn the title.
