Autumn's Fallout

A single skeletal leaf, veined and enormous, drifts down through a hard blue sky toward a tiny figure walking below with an umbrella. Scale does all the work here — leaf against sky against one small human, rendered like this is a perfectly ordinary afternoon rather than something out of a fever dream. Autumn rarely announces itself this loudly, or looks this good doing it.
