Frost-heavy branches frame a river bending through a landscape gone entirely blue and white, a pale moon hanging low where the water opens into a wider lake beyond the trees. Every surface — bark, snow, ice — carries the same cold light, so the whole scene reads as one continuous winter rather than separate objects in it. The water hasn't frozen solid yet; dark channels still thread between the ice, carrying what little warmth is left in the season. Winter Lake is a study in a single color turned a hundred different ways.
