Water Stroll

A break in heavy storm clouds throws a shaft of pale light down onto a beach where two figures walk close together at the waterline, small against the size of the sky above them. The clouds churn dark and dramatic on every side, but that one gap holds steady, lighting the sand and the shallow surf in cool blue-green. Nothing about the moment feels calm exactly — more like the storm allowing a brief truce for two people who decided to walk anyway.
