Water Mist Bathing

A swan explodes out of the water mid-bath, wings thrown wide and spraying a curtain of mist that catches the light like scattered glass. The dark water and darker background push the bird forward into sharp white focus, every feather and droplet frozen at the peak of the motion. There's nothing posed about it — this is the split second between stillness and flight, caught before the water even finishes falling. Water Mist Bathing is less a portrait of a swan than a portrait of pure kinetic joy.
