Thumbelina

A single vivid blue morning glory glows against a blurred backdrop gone fiery red, like the flower opened directly into flame and came out unscathed. Scale and color do all the storytelling — one small, delicate bloom holding its own against something that looks like it should have consumed it. Thumbelina earns its fairy-tale title in exactly how tiny and unbothered that flower looks.
