Storm Run
by Igor Zenin
Lightning forks across a sky heavy enough to taste, and one white horse breaks from the herd anyway — running not from the storm exactly, just running the way horses do when the air itself feels charged. The rest of the herd hangs back in the haze, smaller and slower, like they haven't decided yet whether this is a good idea.
