Spirit

A gray horse's head rises close and steady from a field of poppies and golden grain, dramatic storm cloud gathering dark behind it. The contrast does the work — calm animal, restless sky, red flowers scattered underneath like punctuation. Spirit finds real presence in nothing more than one horse holding still while the weather does the opposite.
