Orthodox Villagers Competition
by Igor Zenin
A dozen long-bearded men pose together in matching numbered race jerseys, one bicycle propped in front like the whole team's about to take off at once. It's a village competition that's clearly been run the same way for generations — the kind of tradition that survives precisely because nobody's tried to modernize it. Orthodox villages like this one still run on their own calendar, and this is what a Sunday looks like on it.
