Old Europe
by Igor Zenin
Red and gold autumn vines drape a weathered stone archway, framing a distant view of Orthodox church domes glowing against a sunset sky. The courtyard beyond sits half in shadow, old brick and old faith both catching the last of the light. Old Europe earns its name in every ivy-covered stone and every dome still standing after centuries of exactly this kind of evening.
