Leaving September

A single birch tree blazes gold in full autumn color, standing alone in a green valley where storm cloud presses in from one side and clear light breaks through on the other. It's a landscape caught exactly between two kinds of weather, one tree marking the last of the season before the sky decides what comes next. Leaving September earns its title in every leaf still holding on.
