Horsepower

Two engines built from horse bones charge out of the dark with their manes already on fire — steel joints where the muscle should be, flame doing the work a heartbeat usually does. It's the oldest unit of power there is, taken completely literally and then some. Whatever pulled this image out of the artist's head clearly wasn't letting go of it either.
