Fading Out

A woman's profile glows warm gold against a night backdrop of birch trees, her pale hair blurring into bark and branch as orange leaves drift past. She's dissolving into the season around her rather than standing apart from it, woman and woodland losing their edges together. Fading Out reads less like disappearing than like finally belonging to the place.
