Duet

Call it a duet of one woman and one small dog, or of an umbrella and a sky that's caught fire behind it — either way, this row of iron lampposts marches toward a horizon that doesn't need the streetlights lit tonight. The color does all the talking: a sunset too loud to be tasteful anywhere else, and a silhouette calm enough to look like she chose it. Some skies only happen once; this is the proof it happened at all.
