Country Winter
by Igor Zenin
A weathered picket fence leans hard along a frozen shoreline, its posts splintered and gray against a fog thick enough to swallow the cabins behind it. Nothing here has been touched up or straightened — the wood is genuinely old, the frost genuinely rough, the mist genuinely doing the hiding. It's rural decay rendered with more dignity than decay usually gets.
