Country Christmas

A decorated Christmas tree stands alone on a snowy hilltop, ornaments still catching light while an entire Orthodox village sleeps in monochrome below it, church domes just visible through the haze. It's Christmas staged at exactly the distance where you can see both the ornament and the whole town it's watching over. Country Christmas, here, means the tree gets the good view.
