Coastal Ember

A single ember of sun burns low on the horizon, its light scattered thin and orange across heavy storm cloud while turquoise surf churns below. A lone horse wades through the shallows, small against the size of the sky pressing down on it. The colors shouldn't work together — muddy purple cloud, electric teal water, one hot point of orange — but somehow they hold. Coastal Ember catches that particular kind of evening where the weather can't decide if it's ending the day gently or not.
