Candle Light

A woman's hair dissolves into a cascade of green willow leaves, an actual flame glowing warm at the bottom of the frame like it's the only light left once dusk takes the rest. She's caught somewhere between portrait and forest spirit, willow standing in for hair the way it might in a folk tale nobody's finished writing yet. The candle's doing double duty — light source and reason to look twice.
