A whole crowd streams single-file across what turns out to be a tiny curved planet no bigger than a dandelion patch, every one of them the size of an ant next to the flowers they're walking through. It's an old idea rendered literally — how small the busy human procession looks once you back up far enough to see the whole globe it's standing on. Vanity gets a scale model here, and it isn't flattering.
