Arrival
by Igor Zenin
Two flatirons ride in on the tide like warships, smokestacks going full tilt and embers glowing where the soleplate should be — household objects drafted into something closer to a naval arrival at dusk. It's absurd and it isn't, both at once, the way the best surrealism always manages. Somebody's laundry day just declared war on the horizon.
