Christmas Night

Christ's face rises luminous over rolling snow dunes, aurora-colored light bleeding into the night sky while a lone horse-drawn sleigh crosses the drifts far below. Scale turns the sleigh into little more than a punctuation mark under all that sky, faith rendered as something vast and the traveler as someone small enough to still need it. Christmas night, here, is less a scene than a feeling given weather.
